Due to its appearance, this planetary is also called Owl Nebula. The 6000 year aged nebula has a mag 17 central star.
It may be noted, that we think the reall color of the owl is not as green as most photographs show. We always put together the color data the same way and ignore what we think could be true for this object. It definitely also has strong emissions in OII (which is equal blue and green) and red, making it more or less white in the center with a slight tuerkis touch.
Several background galaxies show up in this image.
