This is a nice group of galaxies in Leo, consisting of NGC 3993 (center), NGC 3987 (the edge on) and 3997 (upper left, irregular). NGC 3997 is especially interesting. It has a very faint irregular arm, maybe due to a collision with the smaller galaxy seen to the lower right of 3997. We have a contrast streched B&W picture below. The faint arm is only 15ADU above the background.
