Probably the best combination of very clear sky and good seeing we had up to now at our place. Seeing can get as good as 1.4" here, but then usually the sky is foggy. This night was extremly clear, with about mag 6.4 visually.

the galaxy is also called Herrings galaxy or Whale galaxy and indeed it looks like a fish. The galaxy is very large and a nice object with lots of structure.
The galaxy is listed in the ARP catalogue as ARP281, because it is distorted by its small companion, NGC 4656.
